Breast Cancer In Women Of Color with Janeen Azare

To better provide education to refugees and immigrants, we need to connect with people who know better about Breast Cancer, who provide services, and finally learn from them.

Last Saturday, February 27, 2021, we attended the virtual Black Health Matters Summit. This Summit is dedicated to improving health outcomes in the community.

Black Health Matters is committed to helping African Americans do better and thrive on a local, regional and national basis through health education said, Roslyn Young Daniels Founder & PresidentBlack Health Matters on their website BHM Winter Summit (vfairs.com)

Several sessions were held during this summit, many topics were discused Diabetes, colon, prostate cancer, maternal mortality and so on…

We were particularly interested in The Breast Cancer In Women Of Color by Janeen Azare PhD, MSPH Oncology Sr. Field Medical Director – Breast Cancer, Pfizer Oncology, where we were able to learn about 

During this presentation we’ve learned about Breast Cancer diagnosis and survival in the US, stage distribution by race/ethnicity, death among black in the US, etc.

We enjoyed participating in this summit, we got answers to our questions.
